Who we are

DriftX Racing is Korea’s national representative team for the 2025 STEM Racing (aka. F1 in Schools) World Finals. Built on passion, innovation, and teamwork, we are a group of students dedicated to pushing the limits of STEM through motorsport. Our journey is about more than racing—it’s about engineering excellence, sustainability, and inspiring the next generation of Formula 1 talent. As we compete on the global stage, we aim to blend Korean tradition with motorsports.

Yurim (Angela) Lee

FOUNDER, HEAD OF MARKETING AND BRANDING
Designs the team’s digital content. Assists with marketing campaigns. Documents and writes marketing and digital content for the portfolios
Jooyoon (Zoe) Park

PROJECT MANAGER
Manages the overarching project strategy. Manages budget and resource.
Minji Kim

FOUNDER, HEAD OF ENTERPRISE
Manages the team’s enterprise work packages. Delivers strategy to the enterprise team.

Sean Go

HEAD OF AERODYNAMICS
Models CAD prototypes and conducts CFD simulations. Documents and writes engineering content for the portfolios.
Christopher Lee

HEAD OF MANUFACTURING
Operates CAM software and completes hand-finished manufacturing. Documents and writes manufacturing content for the portfolios.
Chaeyun (Luke) Jung

HEAD OF ENGINEERING
Manages the team’s engineering work packages. Devises the strategy for the engineering team.

What is STEM Racing?

STEM RACING (aka. F1 in Schools) is a competition sponsored by Formula 1 where youth teams from 60 countries around the world compete deploying CAD/CAM software to engineer, manufacture, design and race miniature CO2 powered cars made from a model block.

Students taking part create & operate their very own F1 team in this competition. In addition to engineering, their teams are comprehensively evaluated in various fields such as marketing, team identity, and sponsor attraction.

DriftX Racing is a name that embodies the spirit of pushing the limits of speed and pioneering new possibilities. “Drift” represents bold challenges on the track, while “X” symbolizes infinite potential.
In South Korea, where F1 has yet to become a mainstream sport, our team is participating in this competition with a sense of mission that goes beyond mere speed: we aim to promote F1 culture.
We invite you to follow the journey of DriftX Racing as we continue to challenge ourselves in pursuit of peak performance.
After the 2025 World Finals, our team members are planning to mentor younger local Korean students to also experience this amazing journey. We will try our best to support the students to our fullest so that they will also get an opportunity to showcase their skills help overall betterment of Korean motorsports.
